What is the closest finish in Daytona 500 history?

Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Kevin Harvick was the 2007 Daytona 500 winner with a .020 second margin of victory. It's not the closest margin in history at the track, but it is the closest race in the history of the Daytona 500 event.

The closest finish in history was the very first race at the Daytona International Speedway where it took 3 days to declare Lee Petty the winner in 1959.
