What is the cheapest way to fly to and from Charlotte, NC?
Where can I find some good cheap flights?

Flights to and from Charlotte, North Carolina and New York City are actually fairly reasonable because of competition from lower cost carriers and because Charlotte serves as a hub in the southeast for US Airways.
New York’s JFK Airport is the hub for jetBlue airlines and the discount carrier has created strong competition on many of the routes in and out of New York. On top of that, since US Airways has a hub in Charlotte, there are plenty of direct flights between the two cities.
As a result, a recent search shows that not only are there good fares between the two airports (most under $170 round trip), but there are plenty of options. Travelers can find competitive fares on almost all airlines and most major carriers (United, American, Delta, US Airways, etc.) fly this route.
To find the best fares, I always take a look at Farecast.com (which provides an idea of how pricing is trending and will suggest whether to buy or wait) and Kayak.com to get a broad search of all the pricing available. I will also look at Southwest.com if they fly between the two cities
Note: currently Southwest doesn’t fly between Charlotte and New York – the closest they offer is Greenville, SC (starting in 2011) or Raleigh, NC.
