What is the cheapest touch screen computer/laptop?

Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Search page with cheapest new and used touch screen laptops
(few in stock also scroll forward and back to check for changes)
http://www.amazon.com/s/qid=1241958263/ref=sr_pg_4?ie=UTF8&rs=541966&sort=price&keywords=touch%20screen&bbn=541966&rh=n:541966,k:touch%20screen&page=4

NOTE: check details each time new & used, new - sometimes the first one is new also, sometimes only 1 in stock,
different stores ship them so you may have a preference, check store reputation clicking store name etc.
CAUTION: how good are your eyes? eyestrain, brightness? suggest checking identical model/s in local store
for brightness as I could not even see the cheapest screens to read them it was too dull, the brightscreen
option may be what you need and worth it to pay more, also minimum screen size to prevent eyestrain etc.

If you can wait a bit, it looks like you can get one for around $75.

If you're looking for something available now, then bargains can usually be found at TigerDirect, mwave and newegg.

I usually build my own home computer, but when I saw the touchscreen computer, I knew I had to get it. I chose HP as HP is generally an excellent brand of computers- I have been into computers since 1985, including building my own. My first touch was the HP Touchsmart desktop with a 64 bit system. Unfortunately 64 bit, as there are programs out there that still don't handle this type of system. I have been very happy with the system despite the 64 bit operating system. I was so happy that even though I have a 17 inch laptop that I really only use during the summer and for traveling, that I bought the touch version of the laptop. After shopping around, I decided to buy it off of HP's website, as not only did they have deals on the price, but you can design what specs you want, plus free shipping. I was able to get the laptop in 32 bit. The only thing I didn't like is the stylus that comes with it, has a string that you attach to the computer- despite it having it's own pocket in the computer. It gets all twisted up. I decided to just take it off.
