Twilight tells the story of a century old (yet frozen into being seventeen) vampire named Edward Cullen who fell in love with an ordinary girl named Bella Swan. Twilight is the first book for the popular Twilight saga so this book’s more of the introduction part. It talks about the meeting of the characters and the dangers that awaits the main characters which includes Edward’s thirst for Bella’s blood and other threats posed by other vampires.
In July 2007, Twilight’s author Stephenie Meyer announced that Summit Entertainment had shown interest for her work. Casting followed where they decided the actors and actresses who will be playing the roles for the then upcoming movie. In February 2008, official filming has started and in November 2008, the first movie for the saga was released on the big screen.
Twilight leans more on fantasy-romance genre.
