M$I don't necessarily think that the iPad has any "problem", but it's still not the "tablet" I am looking for.

M$DRM (digital rights management) is a double edged sword. Publishers and content creators need a secure way to distribute and receive money for the products they create and sell.
So far, Apple has done a good job of walking the fine line between accessibility and usability.
However, the DRM scheme that they are using in iBooks is outlandish and short sighted. They have created the ePub file format and only allow ePub books to be synced on the iBookstore bookshelf. They've done this first because they don't like Adobe - Apple does not want to pay Adobe licensing fees. On a larger scale, I think that Apple knows how important the iPad could be in education and they want complete control over the format.
Think 10 years down the road. What if the iPad takes off in schools. Schools could convince students to buy (aka require them to buy) an iPad. At $500 or less (likely $399 for students in the future) when this happens, Apple will make much more money on textbooks then they will on the iPad itself.
When I was in school, I spent about $1000 per semester ($2k per year) on books.
This is huuuuuge. Songs in the iTunes store are worth pennies but textbooks are worth real money.
So, I see DRM as the biggest problem with the iPad. Beyond music and movie piracy, Apple's greed is getting in the way of a huge library of PDF books. More than stopping piracy, Apple wants control over the eBook format and they'll do just about anything to get it.
