This is actually a really interesting question--because the source of the quote is mysterious.
I am assuming the quote you mean is: "To dance is to give oneself up to the rhythms of life." This quote is attributed to Dr Maya V Patel.
But who is Dr Maya V Patel, and why is she the source of so many interesting quotes? Nobdoy seems to be sure.
In addition to commenting on dance, Dr Patel has also allegedly said, "Calm is a clear well that you may draw from whenever you have need."
That's very nice, but does it go with "A grandma is the person you go to when no one else will listen."???
Who is this person? Is she a professional quote-maker? Does she have the secret of all wisdom? Is she a master chef in the Chicken Soup for the Soul kitchen?
Or is she a made-up person, like Ponsonby Britt?
This might be a lesson to all of us about information on the internet--check your sources. Don't believe everything you read.
On the other hand, if Dr Patel cares to show up in person and tell us where she gets all her wonderful sayings, I'll just have to apologise for not believing in her.
