Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I would say, in general for any account or any profile on the internet, to make sure you change your password regularly. Make sure that password isn't a word, per say, but a good mixture of letters and numbers that would be difficult to figure out. If someone should get onto your account make sure you don't have any information that you wouldn't want anyone undesirable to have. Don't go into great depth on the info page. Some people put their whole life story on there including their phone number, all places of employment past and present, home address and more. All of those pieces of information are more than enough for a hacker to cause all sorts of trouble in one's life. I added to my Facebook profile in the info section, "anything you want to know about me, feel free to ask", and don't offer anything personal.

My friends facebook account was recently hacked and that made be overly careful with my activities on facebook. Here are some tips that can help you prevent yourfacebook account from hackers.

• Do not give your password to anyone

• Use passwords that are not so easy to remember. A combination of number and letters is a better way of getting a strong password.

• Do not accept friendship requests from anyone you do not know. If you feel the person might know you for real, then send the person a personal message and ask him/her to give more information about themselves that can make you remember them.

• Change your privacy settings. You can determine what people should see when they search for you. Sometimes hackers could get your information through your friends profile so it would be better to only allow your friends to see your list of friends.

• Go to the account settings of your facebook account and say ‘’yes’’ to receive notifications for logins from new devices. This will help facebook alert you when someone tries to open your account from another computer.

• Never click a link from an email to access your facebook account. Always make sure you visit the site on your own and not through a link.

Hope this helps.

I have a Facebook account and I am guilty of not using the privacy settings to my advantage. But I have corrected this already and with the help and guide online guide that I have read I am now more careful so that there will be no danger of it it being hacked.

These are the best ways to prevent your facebook account from being hacked:
1. Be sure that you choose a strong password that are composed of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers and symbols and ideally it should have 14 characters. And avoid putting personal information like your birthday, address or age.

2. Be sure that your computer is free of virus and spyware. And if you are using computers outside your home don't click the option to remember password and be sure to log out completely.

3. Use Firefox web browser because it has strong security and it is one of the best ways to use when surfing the net.

4. Use the privacy settings of facebook to control what information you want to be visible on your profile and who can see this information.

5. Avoid posting photos and private information if you don't want other people to see or know about it.

6. Always be vigilant and constantly check your account and see if there are unusual posting, comments or bulletin posts. If you have seen posts that you don't remember putting, there is a big possibility that your account is hacked.

7. Avoid clicking any link posted in the message, comments or bulletin because this is a way of hacker to use and get information from you. You might be directed to a window that look like Facebook and ask to relog and you fall for it and have divulge your email address and password.

Set every profile setting to the most private settings. Do not send or receive "gifts" (if you read the info, you are agreeing to give out your personal info every time you do this.) Do not friend strangers, and check your facebook often.

I believe the best way to prevent your Facebook from being hacked is to keep your password private. Both of my teens have a Facebook. I had to sit down with them an explain they can never give out their password. Whether my son's girlfriend wants the password or not, he needs to keep it private. I further explained this goes for Facebook and anywhere else on the Internet.

I explained to the kids that many scammers make up fake emails and may ask for your to verify your account or password. NEVER give out your password, even if you believe the email is real. Facebook has no reason to ask to verify your password. Go straight to Facebook official site and see if there is a problem, if you still do not know, try to get help there.

Lastly I told the kids to pick unique passwords and change them on occasion. Their birthdate is not good as a password. Something unique, that NO ONE would be able to guess or figure out.

It is also a good idea to change and update the password from time to time.
