What is the best way to keep yourself motivated to do school work and balance things out so you won't burn out?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

For example, if you spend a lot of time in the car and you need to study a chapter of a text book, read the text to a recorder. Then, while you are in the car, instead of listening to the radio, listen to yourself reading your study work. Play the recording while you take a bubble bath with the lights of and candles burning.
While in class, take targeted notes on index cards, Write the "answer" on one side and the "question" on the other. While you are in line at the bank or grocery store, study the index cards.
This type of activity can free up a small amount of time that you can then dedicate to "you" activities.
When your schedule is tied up the very concept that you have no time can accelerator burn out. Look at how you spend your time and cut a few minutes here and there and you might be surprised at the time you can squeeze out to spend on rest and relaxation.
Good luck!

M$Another option is making a pact or promise with a friend to get the school work done together. If you can get together with a friend, you won't be alone and have someone to help you stay focus on your school work.
Answering the next part of your question, balancing everything is something very difficult to do. I would recommend getting a planner and a note pad. Write down everything that needs to be done for one week at a time on the note pad. Then determine which needs to be done first, second, and until you have everything numbered. Space them out for the week on your planner. Try not to put too much on one day, unless they are not time consuming. I would take a 15 minute break every 45 minutes.
Lastly, do not take on too many classes at once. If you take too many classes, you will have less time to complete everything. Especially if you need to work as well. And it is likely you will burn out from all the work.

M$Since most teachers and school won't allow that, you should try to think really hard why you should work in school. Also, there are plenty of examples WHY you need to do school work. Just take a trip to your local fast-food restaurant!
And as for the balancing, you could try to spread working on school work within fun activities so thinly, you don't get bored of it. For instance, working for 5 minutes, then watching TV for 10 or 15. Maybe not that, but something similar.

M$Some people work better doing the subject they hate first and getting it out of the way. Other people find doing the subject they like the best first gets them settled into doing homework and focused.
