What is the best way to increase traffic from local people for a local website?
people for a local website? I've started a site with a small local
community, but I'm looking to increase users. I've been promoting in a
friendly way through twitter, facebook, and myspace. Is there anything I'm
missing, any suggestions, or any tips? -Thanks!
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Thanks for the answer! I've looked into joining a special Chamber of Commerce group in my area for young entrepreneurs, but was discouraged because I'm 19 and their specified age range is 22-40. Maybe I'll talk to them and find out if it's a solid requirement.
Without a doubt try again, that would be crazy if those were their requirements. Could it maybe be their target demographic instead? Don't call, stop in person with a few business cards in hand. You'll do great!
