What is the best way to get acne free skin?

I would love to have acne free skin! I have tried many products that promise to work and do not. My daughter just turned 13 and she has acne really bad. I stopped worrying about myself years ago, but with my daughter now experiencing acne, I need to find a product or treatment that really works. What IS the best way to get acne free skin?

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Here are 6 steps to clear, acne-free skin.
1. Nourish your skin by eating a healthy and balanced diet.
2. Drink lots of water to maintain the skin's elasticity.
3. Exercise regularly for good circulation.
4. Cleanse your face-then tone, moisturize, and exfoliate.
At night first remove your makeup with an oil-free makeup remover and a cotton ball. Then wash your face with lukewarm water and an oil-free, non comedogenic cleanser. Pat (dont rub) it dry with a soft towel. And apply an oil-free moisturizer.
In the morning-wash your face as directed above, then use an alcohol-free toner, next apply moisturizer, then apply makeup-all oil-free and non-comedogenic.
Once of twice a week use an exfoliater.
5. Protect your skin from the sun and harsh weather.
6. Get plenty of good-quality rest.

I hope this helps.

Hey there, Acne may be it Adult or teen, it is more of a blood problem than skin problem, I'm basically from India and here we have this syrup called - SAFI which purifies blood and it really works well for every skin problem. If that is your picture or you experiencing this kind of acne. I would advice you to,
1. Wash your face regualrly just with plain water, believe me that helps. i.e you wash off skin level germs, dirt etc.....
2. Use a neem soap, i.i INDIAN LILAC its a real pore cleansing tree extract.
3. Try getting that syrup or any equivalent blood purifier.
4. AND also avoid real cspicy food if u do have it is one of the GENERAL reasons but it dosent seen its the case with you.
Try understanding Michelle if am not wrong about your name, If you dont find any general reasons for acne like pollution, oily skin etc... The problem is related to stomach and blood, every skin problem has. So consult a aurvedic doctor if you have there, or I wont mind sending you the syrup. tc . Anyways all the best.

I have my acne problems when I was about 14 years old, now I am 18 and I am quite free from it. Of course I have a pimple here and there, but it will be gone in a day or two.

I don't really recommend any medications because the acne will surely come back if you stop using it and it is waste of money.

First of all acne is cause by bacterias growth in your face, this bacteria in your face feeds on sebum face that your face produce, so to be honest you can't avoid any bacterias from coming into your face, but you can prevent it from growing. To prevent bacterias from growing, you need to prevent your face from too much sebum production so bacterias won't grow healthy and multiply.

We all produce sebum, but sometimes you will produce much more sebums during hormonal imbalance. So you have to understand mroe about hormonal imbalance, in order to preven it.

I will share a site about hormonal imbalance on wikipedia because wikipedia is more credible and popular, hope you can learn what is hormonal imbalance form there!

The best advice that I could personally give you would be, make sure that you get plenty of vitamin c in your everyday diet. Vitamin c and vitamin e are natural acne fighting sources, and are really good for you, your mind, and your body, in other ways other than just acne fighting! Vitamin c and vitamin e are great sources to help your hair stay healthy a shiny and also help your fingernails grow and stay healthy and strong.
There are plenty of body and face washes that you can buy, to help prevent or take care of acne.
I hope this helps you in some way, and the best of luck to you, seriously try these though, they are really good to use for lots of reasons!

I know that you have already picked a best answer. However, if the image you provided is a personal image or an example of what you are dealing with, I would strongly recommend that you take your daughter and/or yourself to a dermatologist. Treating severe acne with a variety of non-medical recommendations can cause more damage than help. Scarring from Acne can be a lifetime issue and addressing it early with your daughter can only be good.

Many insurance plans cover treatment for severe acne. If your daughter only has medicaid, you can look towards your local hospital and see if they have a dermatology clinic or any other recommendation for available services.

Adult acne is different from teen acne. Adult acne can be cured by apple cider vinegar. I broke out when I lived in NYC - due to the pollution accompanied by the stress of being broke and nearly starving while working on a master's degree. Soak apple cider vinegar in cotton ball. Apply for 30-60 seconds. That spot will go away within 48 hours and never come back.
Teen acne can be exacerbated by overly drying it out. Keep it clean and try the apple cider vinegar. It might work. The reason it works for adults I know is because it changes the ph balance of the skin.
