What is the best way to feel good and have more energy at work on Mondays?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I would treat myself to something nice on Mondays... a fun or special coffee drink or plan a nice lunch with friends. That would give me something to look forward to on Mondays.
Find something that's special... that's not too expensive and make it official to do on Monday.
It's all in the attitude!

M$At my old job, I was given 3 weeks of holidays per year, and I didn't take real vacations. After saving up days for a few months, I started taking off tuesday mornings.. 1/2 day each week. This meant Monday felt just like a Friday, because I knew I could sleep in and be lazy the next morning. The day off broke up the work week and made it feel like WAY less work than working a solid work week. If holiday days don't allow for that much time off, try taking a half day off every 2 weeks. Taking that 1/2 day just made it feel like a long weekend every week.
If you company will negotiate how you use holidays, you could also try coming in an hour late each monday. This will shorten up your day immensely when you get in and it's already 10 instead of 9. Leaving an hour early on mondays might be another option, or taking an extra hour at lunch so you can sneak in a nap, a trip to the store, or something to make it feel like just less work. Taking just an hour each week will make you work day feel more like a day off, let you ease back into the work week - and you'd only be missing one day every 8 weeks (given a regular schedule 8 weeks of 1 hour a week = 1 day).
If this isn't possible, try getting up a half hour earlier than normal on Mondays. Might seem counter-productive, but this will give you a half hour to take your time, have a nice breakfast, go for a walk, or anything to get you awake.
Good luck!

M$Didn't mean to insinuate that you were a drinker! I guess Mondays generally suck for most people. Back to the old grind.
mmmmmmmSleep. I am not a big drinker by the way. It has nothing to do with being hung over. I wish I could attribute it to something, its really just a Monday Malaise
