What is the best way to clean Canon Lenses?
I have several Canon lenses which need to be cleaned. Someone said it was very expensive to have lenses professionally cleaned, and I’d be better off buying new ones. So, I’d really learn to love to clean my own like a pro. They are fairly dusty and have smudges on the glass. I have a fear of damaging or scratching the glasses in cleaning. Is there any special lens cleaning fluid available? Are there any household cleansers that are safe to use with camera lens? Should I use a soft microfiber cloth? Another issues I can see is that some dust is in between the glass. Is there a way to get that out? Can they be taken apart? Should I use that pressured canned air on them?

These are the best ways to clean Canon lens:
1. Slowly and carefully blow off any dust or dirt by using a blower brush or you can use compressed air but do this very carefully.
2. Pour a little drop of lens cleaning fluid on a clean piece of lens cleaning tissue or blow gently on the lens so that moisture condenses on its surface.
3. Wipe gently the lens surface from the edges toward the center of the lens with a lifting action instead of a rubbing action.
4. Use a micro-fiber cleaning cloth if you don't have a lens tissue. This is a good alternative to lens tissue and does not require cleaning fluid.
