1. First thing to do is to mix vinegar with water using a 1:2 proportion. That is for every part of vinegar, there need to be 2 parts of water. Fill the coffee machine tank with this solution and switch on the coffee brewer and run it like you are brewing a coffee. When the solution has dripped into the carafe, let it cool for about 15 minutes.
2. If its been awhile that you haven't clean your coffee maker, repeat this process a few more time twice or thrice.. After draining away the vinegar water solution, fill the water tank with warm water and switch on the coffee machine. The same thing, when water has dripped into the carafe, wait for 15 minutes before pouring the water away. This is done to rinse off the vinegar solution so it is advisable to do this thrice to ensure that there is no residual vinegar solution left inside. What you just accomplished is to clean the internal parts of a coffee machine and ensure that there is no residual coffee oil left behind to give you any rancid coffee.
3. To ensure that the vinegar solution is totally cleared from the coffee machine wash it with water and detergent. This is a sure fire way to clean your coffee maker and inexpensive too.
