What is the best way to chill out in this hot hot summer? Give us your favorite ways to keep cool without burning a big hole in your pocket.
My favorite way is to hide in a nearby mall, have a ice mocha and listen to my favorite songs:

Here are a couple of things I've enjoyed.
A couple of our parks have water features that offer a time to relax and cool off (you can feel the spray of the water just by sitting nearby and not actually getting soaked.) And there's lots of shade. There's also another one along the Black Warrior River. The River Park includes lots of shaded walking trails and cool breezes from the river. I like taking a frozen yogurt or ice cream and sitting on one of the benches settled among the trees, overlooking the river .
But of course the coolest places are indoors when the humidity is high.
