What is the best way to browse questions to answer on Mahalo?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

But by far the BEST way to find questions easier is using the "Spy" mode. It's located on the top Right hand corner. Next to your username. It shows all kinds of actions going on in Mahalo. From comments to tips being given. Like the category section use the filters, you definitely need them on there. :D

M$I use the following methods to browse questions, depends on mood and stage I’m in;
I’ll click the title and “open in new window” to read…
1. Mahalo.com : Popular questions – Most Interesting or Biggest Tips
Adv: no need to scroll, just click the “arrow” sign.
2. “Spy”
Adv: you can see questions that are newly asked, newly answered (“revived”)
3. “Open question” – “unanswered first”
Adv: niche questions. You may find that you can answer some questions.
4. “Categories”
Adv: Niche question. You can choose the categories that you may have expertise in it.
5. “Search”
Adv: Niche question.
You can try to think of keywords to search..
6. human-based:
After some time, you may find that certain peoples usually ask questions of topics that you can most probably answer. Add them as friends and check their “open questions”.
For 3,4,5, after a while in Mahalo Answers, you may find these methods are not efficient anymore as you have browsed through most old questions. You may check but couldn’t find new questions. 1,2,6 may be more efficient then.
I would hope in future:
1. “Categories” have “new” besides categories whenever there are new questions asked.
2. We can subscribe to new question of a category.
I think besides answering to help and earning some M$, points along the way; reading others’ questions and answers outside my own niches widen my horizon too..
