What is the Best Voting System for Blog Contests?

Contests are a great source for traffic and website promotion! I have started my first contest on Famous Bloggers Club blog which is running this month to vote for the best blog on the club, I have managed to costumize WP-polls plugin vote system to view thumbnails and links to the participating blogs on the contest as you can see on the contest voting page, but I am wondering if there is other great poll plugins or systems that use widgets out there for contest organizers to use on their polls!

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I already visit your poll, it is great. But since you're still wondering, I have another alternative for you, that is using poll daddy. It works perfectly with WordPress and it's free.

Among the important features that is useful for your kind of contest:
*Can be integrated with your CSS.
*Insert HTML directly allowing you to add pictures, video and more.
*Advanced online reporting in real time of your data as it is collected.
*Export your data as XML, CSV and receive your results via Email or RSS.
*Close surveys after a certain date or quota has been reached, and create custom start and finish pages for your survey.
*Block repeat voters by IP address or cookies.
*Unlimited free polls with unlimited votes per poll.
*Dual vote page -your page and poll daddy page -you can get more voters.
*You can also get comments from the voters.

The one I like most is the Nokia Conversation site. You can see how well it integrates with the color of the site.

Have fun and happy trying.

Ah, yes, I totally forgot you're making a contest for blog. I search around poll daddy and I still can't find any features creating thumbnail from the site. This means, if you still wants to put the thumbnail, you have to do it manually. Poll daddy have a feature to add picture in the poll, maybe shrinktheweb (http://www.shrinktheweb.com/) can help to make it easier a bit.

I just have one opinion for your poll though, it just look a little bit wierd with lots of pictures from up to down, that kind of poll is only suitable for text poll or 3-4 element of picture poll. It would be better if you could arrange it in square manner (e.g. in your case maybe 4x4), however the thumbnail is quite big to make it easier for the people to see the site, that would not be possible. Anyway, good luck.
