What is the best upgrade from a Nikon N65 to a digital SLR?

I have a Nikon N65 with two lenses. I would like to upgrade to a digital SLR that will use the same lenses. I like the Nikon D90, but it isn't being made any more. What is the next best option? Please keep in mind that I am an amateur and can not justify more than $450 to upgrade.
Tip for best answer: M$0.50
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Try the Nikon D3000 10.2 Megapixel Digital SLR, this is the cheapest if you are willing to stretch your budget to $464.00. But this the price is for the body only excluding the lens.

The D3000 is a high-performance DX-format SLR that delivers superb images and boasts a range of functions which make photography simple and fun. Nikon´s intelligent Guide Mode offers incredibly user-friendly in-camera assistance enabling even beginners to capture wonderful images. Perfect for shots that you are not sure how to take and guide mode will ask you about the image you want to capture and automatically optimize the camera settings for the best possible results.

What about the D-80? And what about buying a used body. I just picked up a used one complete with lens about a year ago that works perfectly and I got for a steal because the professional photographer that had it had upgraded to something else and practically gave it away.
