What is the best size pumpkin to get for carving at Halloween?

I believe the larger pumpkin, the better. If you are a beginner at carving pumpkins it can get hard to carve details out on smaller pumpkins. We usually get medium to large size pumpkins for carving.
I seen something really cute on Martha Stewart, instead of carving the pumpkins, she layered one side with glue and added glitter, then let it dry completely. Then do the same on the opposite side. They looked really pretty. For that idea you should use small pumpkins!
