What is the best site with details on starting an on-location HD video podcast series?

Would like explicit details on cameras, lighting, post production h/w and s/w, distribution methods, finding advertisers, finding expertise in these areas?
What viewership level does the podcast need to achieve in order to be profitable given the production and bandwidth costs?
Tip for best answer: M$10.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I would have to say check Leo Leport's Twit.tv site. Everything that you have asked about, he has done. Probably the first one to do it successfully with his podcasts and streaming video. Below is a link to the details of his equipment and what he uses it for.
He does about 40 hrs of HD video a week.

I watch / listen to most of the Twit podcasts. Twit.am is great when on the road. It's a good start but I'm pretty sure he won't take my call. Maybe his AV super-assistant Dane might.

Try calling his Tech Guy Radio show. I've heard many people call and ask for advice on how to start up a podcast show. That might be your best bet to get a hold of him because he is pretty busy.

A podcast is an audio file that can be downloaded automatically to your computer, using RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feeds to your computer. RSS feeds are free content feeds from Web sites, including washingtonpost.com, that contain article headlines, summaries, links to articles, and podcasts. The word "podcast" is derived from Apple Computer's portable music player, the iPod.

Podcasts are usually downloaded through a program like iTunes onto an iPod using RSS feeds, but they can also be directly downloaded on to a computer, or listened to in streaming format. There are many different types of podcasts about almost any topic, from cars to comedy to science to sports ... and news! The Washington Post's Sunday Source recently sampled a broad range of podcasts. Many radio or TV shows are repurposed as podcasts. For example, you can listen to Washington Post Radio's "The Tony Kornheiser Show" through your iPod, or on your computer, hours after the show aired live.
