What is the best site to find and offer freelance programming gigs?

Tip for best answer: M$0.37
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I wouldn't go with craigslist

I'd try looking into a few more reputable firms like Guru.com - link below. Freelance work
http://www.guru.com/pro/index.aspx

If you like bidding for jobs try this one - link to main page
http://www.programmingbids.com/

Or there's RentaCoder - link to main page
http://computerprogramming.suite101.com/article.cfm/programming_jobs_at_rentacoder

There are plenty of freelance sites and co-op type places to use, these are just some. Good hunting :)

Try sologig.com. It is a great resource for finding contract, consulting, freelance, temp-to-hire, and part-time project opportunities. ti is an online niche community where top contractors and consultants connect with those quality employers looking to fill contract and consulting positions quickly and efficiently.

There are many bidding freelance job sites which hire freelance programmers. Some of them are Elance, Guru, Odesk, GetAFreelancer, RentACoder, GetACoder, and ScriptLance where you can bid for and accept work. They are well paid and legitimate job sites for freelance programming as well as other freelance works.
