What is the best service to create a widget for an online fund drive?

My work is doing a cancer benefit for a friend of the company and we would like to put a widget on the site to collect funds online securely as well as give people a current total of how close we are to the goal. We are not a non-profit and not going through Red Cross. We are just trying to help a friend. If you have any questions about it please ask them at http://onehourairofwa.com/heat/benefit/ as I am just the webmaster. The company is just trying to help a kid fighting cancer who is friends of the company. Thanks in advance for your help.

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I believe that there are lots of online payment solutions, and the most famous/secured one is PayPal. PayPal has its own Online Fundraising Tools. You may use it on your own website, or Facebook, or MySpace.

A detailed description can be found here:

When I think of sending money online, the first name that comes to mind is PayPal. So I went to the source, which led me here:

"WhatGives!? is more than just a website about causes. We are working every day to bring you information and tools that can help nonprofits to raise money and awareness; to encourage more people to get involved; to spread the word about how social media can work for social good. We see corporate philanthropy, social media, volunteerism, virtual fundraising, and cause marketing converging in our daily lives more than ever before. Are you on board?"

I'd use Sproutbuilder. It's intuitive, quickly learned, integrates some good tools (video includes, countdown timer), and allows you to quickly build and deploy a single or multi-screen flash site including viral functions (share), embed, statistics. Many fundraisers, rockbands etc already use it.

I have never used them personally.. But these are what I found in the search engines to be the most popular...
Change, First Giving, Give Meaning, TwitPay, One Cause, Six Degrees, and mgive. The others I found were already mentioned above.. They came up under fundraising widgets.. But, I am not to sure if all of them really have widgets or not.

DonateOMeter

DonateOMeter is an all new fundraising, realtime donation tracking widget to help you or your organization raise funds. Collect donations for any kind of event, set up DonateOMeter widgets to raise money for school fundraisers, shelter animals, special causes and charities, websites/blogs, the fundraising uses are endless. Upload your own photo and link that photo to your site with more info if wanted. DonateOMeter keeps track of all the donations you get in realtime and works with PayPal.

I would use Squidoo - they like to help out legit. charities and you could connect it to a page with a donate option.

Squidoo gets good traffic - however, you are ranked by other veteran members.
