You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

You reall don't need much. Sone salt, pepper, garlic, powder, onion powder - all of these or any combination will give your ham hocks a great flavor.

Another way to get great tasting ham hocks - BBQ sauce.

== If you are boiling the ham hocks, pour the water off after they are almost done and pour some BBQ sauce on them.

Let the ham hocks boil down until the BBQ sauce is thick.

== If you are cooking them in the oven - after they are almost done, get rid of the oil in the pan and pour the BBQ sauce over them and let them bake for 15-20 more minutes.

Make sure the ham hocks are in the proper pan before you pour the BBQ sauce over them.
