What is the best resource for college student discounts in the US?

I am looking for a good website for college discounts int he US. hopefully no membership fees. Thanks
Tip for best answer: M$2.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

If your looking for discounted textbooks, then amazon.com is really great. You can join amazonstudent to get free shipping on textbooks along with other benefits that help reduce the amount you will spend on books. It may not seem like a ton, but it saved me over $200 in books this semester!

Hi,
As far as resources, for textbooks only, I remembered reading an article in the NY Times, so I went searching. It appeared in NY Times on page A10 on Aug 14, 2009.
After reading the article, three resources stand out, Cengage Learning, Chegg and BookRenter, and here is the link to the article.

For other resources, I would check out websites and newspapers giving you information for the local area/town where the college is.

Hope this helps. Good Luck.

Hey there! This is sort of related to your question, but it's not college-specific: if you shop at eBillme you'll earn cash back rewards (up to 10% right now for a limited time) and there are some coupons there too, so it's a good way to save money if you're in college. Plus, because eBillme allows you to pay for your online shopping without using a credit card, it's good if you haven't built up a credit rating yet and don't want to start using credit cards.

There's a really good limited time offer right now on Amazon.com Gift Cards at eBillme, so if you need to buy a lot of books and stuff like that it's worth checking out: you'll get a $15 mail-in rebate on a $100 Amazon.com Gift Card (plus there are other gift card deals there too). Details here: http://www.ebillme.com/gift-cards/

I think StudentBistro.com seems to offer some good ideas for college student discounts.

The blog post below also should help you find some savings.
