What is the best news site on the internet? I am looking for the best formatted site. I don't want to create an account to personalize.
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Use these to counter-balance the left slant at the NYT, BBC, Guardian, etc.
No one site does a truly excellent job, and skimming won't give you a balanced view. It takes work to compare stories and authors. And now you have to filter out author's commentary and bias.
This wouldn't be necessary if news was the product of real journalism, instead of the opinion and commentary we've gotten accustomed to.
News is supposed to tell us what happened, not what to believe.

You'll see enough from the snippets and headlines to know if you want to read any more. In the top half you'll see snippets from the most important and interesting stories, and In the bottom half of the page there are the headlines in all the major areas like sport, tech, politics, nicely grouped so you can just quickly glance at the sport and tech if that's all you're interested in.
Another good news site is the BBC.

M$Nowpublic.com is an interesting concept that is worth time to look it. People can publish their own articles and other people can view and rate them.
Hope that helps.
