What is the best name for my baby girl? She will be born in 12 short weeks!

Tip for best answer: M$1.01
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Laurelai is a different name, pretty and rolls off the tongue. If you want to go classic, Emmaline, Rebekka, Mary, Josephine, Pauline/Paulette...

There are a lot of names, maybe if we knew a little more about you we could pick something more fitting for you as an individual...

I have always liked the name Elizabeth with the nickname Eli for a girl. It's just so fun. Good Luck.

I love that name too! So regal. But I also love how each person can shorten Elizabeth into many versions of the name, making it more unique.

There are a lot of names out there and it would be impossible to tell you what to name your girl, when I don't know you personally. When naming a child it's all preference, really. Some people go the religious route, while others base it on ethnicity/nationality/region. There are some beautiful names out there, I know this because my wife is pregnant and due in January with a girl. We decided on the name Lillian Abigail, but how we got there was the journey. First we researched girl names, choosing the first name first is important. We used various sites, such as:

http://babynamesworld.parentsconnect.com (This site will give you names in alphabetical order and tell you what that name means as well as its origin; this is the one I used to find my baby girls name).

http://www.thinkbabynames.com/ (My wife used this one, she liked it but preferred the one above as well)

Okay when you have your first name, if you want your baby to have a middle name it's as simple as generating using your babys first name and last name and selecting a sex! I know it sounds corny to generate a baby's name, but it worked for me. However it was after generating it over 50 times, that it gave me the middle name Abigail.

http://www.babynamegenie.com/baby-middle-names/index.php (this is the generator I used)

Well, I hope you are able to use these sites as I did with good results. I wish you the best, and a healthy beautiful baby girl. God bless.

There are some things you should take into consideration when choosing a name for your child.
1.Don't select a cutesy name with a weird spelling. This may be cute now but when she enters the adult world and begins creating a career for herself it may do more harm than good.
2. Choose a first name that flows well with your last name.
3. Sometimes mixing name origins (ethnicity) are okay and the first and last name flow well, other times it can be a disaster.
4. Does your family follow tradition of naming children after ancestors? Will that name fit your child's personality?
5. Pronunciation and spelling for the child and others ... is it going to be too difficult for the child to learn?
6. Some people believe that the child's astrological sign should help determine the child's name.

There are several baby name sites you can refer to for assistance. But if you just want people to throw out some ideas here are mine.
1. Ava
2. Baleigh
3. Caroline
4. Elizabeth
5. Heatherly
6. Julianna
7. Kiley
8. Lila
9. Paige
10 Rachel
11. Riley
12. Stephanie
13. Victoria
