But one I have been really impressed with is MAC. My daughter and I were in a professional ballet company's Nutcracker last year, and we were told exactly which makeup to get. The lip color we had to get was MAC's long-lasting variety, MAC Pro Longwear. It's a two-step application process, so the stick has two ends. You put the color on first, and then the sealant. It was originally developed for use under hot lights, like photo studios and stages.
I really couldn't believe it. I put it on about 45 minutes before curtain time, and when I got home 6 hours later, it looked like I'd just applied it. In fact, because it was 12 a.m., I didn't even take it off. When it survived my morning shower, I took it off just so I could moisturize my lips. The theatre was really dry and people were having trouble with their lips cracking, which makes the color look funky, so I was trying to avoid that. Otherwise, I could have left it on, so I really don't know how much longer it would have stayed on. But it stayed on for 18 hours with no problem.
