What is the best nail polish remover to use when removing acrylic nails?

Every time I get those acrylic nails I have a hard time getting them off because I use cheap nail polish remover...what should I use?

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Acetone is definitely the way to go! Try using 100% Acetone. You can find this right next to the other nail polish removers. It is inexpensive and available everywhere.

A couple of things I would try.... (clip the long part of the nail off first.
1. Soak cotton balls in the acetone, place it on your fingernails and wrap them in tin foil. Just kind of hang out with these little acetone wraps and every once in awhile, peel one off and see if your nails peel off a bit easier.
2. Fill an old cereal bowl or some kind of bowl with acetone and just stick your fingers in it and chill. This will have the same effect as the soaked cotton ball wraps. Check your nails every once in awhile and eventually, they will peel off with ease.

This process may take 15-45 minutes. Don't force the acrylics off. You will ruin your natural nails and it will take longer for you to grow out the damage then it would be to spend a little extra time soaking them in acetone. I have done this multiple times and it works like a charm!!!

According to my sis, acetone nailpolish removers do an excellent job of removing the toughest kinds of polish and false nails.
This type of nail polish remover usually takes off nail polish easier than a remover that does not contain acetone. Acetone nail polish remover is also useful for taking off false nails and removing strong glue from fingers.
