So, we missed this one, and I’m sorry to say that I did. This is such a great question for one who sees as many movies as I do. I apologize for the lack of answer and I/we will do better to get to this response.
With that said, I would like to take this opportunity to push the classics on Xmas day for next year. We all know the studios push their top picks True Grit, their Oscar hopefuls The Fighter, and their over budgeted comedies Little Fockers. Some are great and some fall short. I’m no critic so I won’t push another opinion (Other than Inception was the best movie of the year… Ok, that’s all), but I will ask you to ditch the cinema and cozy up with the classics. Embrace the holiday and make the marathon of holiday cheer – A Christmas Story, Christmas Vacation, and Home Alone. Don’t sleep on the darkly funny Bad Santa and never forget about the classics like It’s A Wonderful Life and A Miracle on 34th Street.
