What is the best kind of letter to use when responding to a call for writers?
To be more specific what should your letter include about you, and your writing?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Your response should include your experience as a writer (usually 1-2 sentences explaining how that experience relates directly to this project, plus a link to writing samples), your rates, and your policies - turnaround time, payment arrangements, # of rewrites, etc.
If you're responding to a call online, I'd keep your response very brief and let your portfolio do the talking.
