What is the best hotel experience you have ever had?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Although we were in the low-rent district of the hotel, my wife and I had a magnificent time. We often took the Disneyland-like boats to dinner. Once in a while we took the monorail (designed by the same guy who designed the Disneyland one).
The restaurants were beyond beyond. The service above excellent. The food - phenomenal. Plenty of celebrities to be found. We said hello to Wayne Newton last time while he was eating next to us...
We had a choice of two mega-pools with a major water slide, down-stream currents and multiple waterfalls. Or we could go to the protected, sand lagoon.
Did I mention they raise and train dolphins there? My wife and I had an experience with the dolphins and I enjoyed going down to the dolphin lagoon in the evenings to say hello.
Now... it's interesting. My family is from the Big Island and I spent most of my summers there. When the Waikoloa was going up, we heard so many awful things about it. Our nickname (because of it's size) was the Waiko-lolo (lolo is crazy in Hawaiian). I never wanted to go and thought it'd be just a cattle ranch.
Boy! Was I wrong... Now my wife and I always try to get back there.
By the way, if you DO go there. Go get a massage from Maureen Gomes. Tell her I sent you and she'll give you the family treatment (she'll make fun of you until you run away crying)... just kidding.
