I have used Liquid Nails Perfect Glue 3 with excellent results. It is very effective in gluing multiple surfaces to each other. I have even used it for gluing a kitchen marble slab back together. The glue can be purchased in many arts and craft stores, I live on the West coast and I bought it at Michael's. It is a 2 part Epoxy Adhesive. It comes with directions and works in a 2 step process but bonds very quickly and withstands heat once the job is done. Make sure you get Perfect Glue 3. There are 3 types of Liquid Nails Perfect Glue (1-3). #3 is the strongest.

I have had good luck with E-6000 glue. The only thing about E-6000 that I found that can be a problem is high heat. I live in Florida and while doing outside art shows found the glue to start melting and pin backings started to drop off. If your not going to have the pieces exposed to high heat it should work fine.

Ultimately it depends on which type of "something" you want to stick to the cured polymer clay because different substances have different properties and thus they adhere differently to the cured polymer clay vessel.

Having said that rhino glue can be used to glue glass vinyl and even pumice to polymer clay. Generally speaking you should use these classifications; "for gluing jewellery findings to polymer clay, we recommend either two part epoxy glue such as Araldite, or Superglue (see below). For gluing soft materials such as dolls hair, fabric or paper to polymer clay, use a PVA glue such as Tacky glue ".
Find links to the above mentioned below and I hope those two surfaces adhere together and nothing does them part, I hope My Contribution was worth your while.

You are probably right. I don't really want to mess with a 2 part epoxy, but it is probably the most secure.

If it is a metal piece or other cured clay, use Loctite Gel (I like the nail-polish-brush applicator, too.) Super-type glues in general work fine. If you are adding uncured clay to cured clay, use a liquid polymer such as TLS or Kato Liquid Medium.

I have had some bad luck with Loctite Gel on polymer clay. I still like the stuff, for most uses, but I have had magnets fall right off.
