What is the best emergency room in the Los Angeles area?
I understand that there are peak times but my last experience was ridiculous and I really needed care.
Thanks

However I did have a good experience at UCLA Medical Center (the one in Westwood) when I broke my thumb, i waited about 1 hour and they helped me out to the best extent possible.

M$The reason I ask is because last time I had gone the ER for a non life threatening event I had to wait 8 hours to be seen by anyone. When I did actually see a doctor he brushed me off and didn't take me seriously. I was in extreme amounts of pain, it was like waiting in line at the grocery store. Their attitude was like "Please take a ticket and sit the hell down".
I guess it just comes down to the health care system in the great superpower of a country we live in.
I am assuming that you went to the ER because you do not have any health care. Is that right? I wonder if there is a free health clinic nearby where you could have gone. On Maui, people do go to the ER for non-life threatening problems, but that is because they don't know about the free clinic about a half block away. Surely LA must have something like that.
