What is the best/easiest way to setup Korg padKontrol? What software do I need and how powerful a computer do I need?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

You should be able to hook it up to your computer using the USB cable that comes with it. You will need a music program that supports midi controllers. Most of the top music production programs have this feature.
As far as computer speed goes. It is usually the software and synths that use up a lot of cpu power. Just about any computer from the past few years should be able to handle it no problem. Korg recommends having an operating system of at least Windows XP or Mac OS X 10.2. Good luck!

Oh I didn't know how far along you were with it. Do you have the product already? For specific information on how to set up a midi controller, you will probably have to inquire on forums about pro audio hardware and software. Here are a few resources:

I think that is very obvious, you can't honestly think I am that naive, can you? Once you get it connected, there is not much information on the correct setup for pads in the software, what software works best, and why...that is what I am looking for. I guess I should have been a bit more specific...
