What is the best dunk you've seen so far?

The high flying and electrifying Vince Carter of the Orlando Magic is perhaps one of the most powerful and elegant dunker of all-time. On an All Star Dunk contest he participated in 2000, he whipped out never seen before dunks that are truly pleasant to watch and even behold. He won this event convincingly and cemented his status as one of the beat slammer in the league ever. But the greatest and truly nerve raising dunk he whipped out so far is the dunk against a 7 foot 2 French center in the 2000 Olympic Games, which is so devastating and shows the enormous tenacity and courage of Vince Carter.

I'm not that much of a basketball fan, but I found a clip on youtube.com which I find very impressive. The video shows several dunks by some of the greatest players in the world, including Vince Carter and Michael Jordan. from the times I actually watched an MBA game, I have to say I was mighty impressed by Michael Jordan, and the way he slammed those dunks. I also included a youtube video of his dunks, and when it all comes down, I have to vote for him as the best dunker of all time.

I'm going to go back to the man who brought the slam dunk to a new level. The time is the early 1970's and the player is Dr. J, Julius Erving. The dunk has perhaps evolved even more with the likes of Dominque Wilkins, Michael Jordan and Vince Carter but it was Dr J. who started the trend making the dunk "cool". Everyone wanted to be Dr. J. So in honor of Dr J, I'm picking him as having the best dunks of all time. The first dunk is the dunk from the foul line at the 1976 ABA Slam Dunk Contest. I believe he was the first to attempt and make that dunk. My best all time dunk by Erving was in the 1977 NBA Finals against the Portland Trail Blazers over Bill Walton on a fast break. It ranks #2 on the video. The other dunk that was great was the #1 dunk on the video, a fast break cradle dunk over Michael Cooper of the Los Angeles Lakers.
