What is the best cleaner to use on textured glass shower doors?

I have tried vinegar but it does not get off the small white spots. I've used heavy duty bathroom cleaners, bleach, scrubbing bubbles, comet, windex, and many other things so far and they clean the shower doors but nothing gets the slight white residue off. I tried scrubbers, sponges brushes but it is hard to get this off. Is there some magic secret formula that I can try that will just make this soap scum melt away? Please give me some suggestions I'll try anything.
Tip for best answer: M$2.00

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

You need some CLR.

In short, the white residue is calcium or lime build up. You likely have hard water. A water softer may be a good investment for your home. They have a lot of advantages including stopping this sort of icky buildup.

I found a tip that after cleaning with CLR, treat the glass with Rainex. The water will bead up and won't leave spots

Windex works best.

I actually find that Windex works quite well on glass shower doors. CLR is good for mineral build up, LimeAway is another.
