It is such a big hit, I make it for every birthday and it is always gone.
My recipe
You need.
A box of graham crackers
1 instant vanilla pudding
1 instant chocolate pudding
milk
cool whip
a tub chocolate frosting.
Layer an 8 by 10 pan with your graham crackers. Just simply place them so they cover the bottom.
Now make the Chocolate pudding according to the pie directions on the box and mix one cup of cool whip. Layer this on the graham crackers.
Place another row of graham crackers.
Now do the same with the vanilla pudding- make according to the pie directions on the box and add the cool whip. Put that on top of the graham crackers.
One more layer of graham crackers.
Top with chocolate frosting and place covered in the refrigerator.
I usually make it the night before so it has time to set right.
It is a sure favorite kids and adults!

M$CHOCOLATE PUMPKIN CAKE
1 1/2 cups flour
2/3 cup cocoa
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 cup canned pumpkin
2 teaspoons vanilla
3/4 cup butter (1 1/2 sticks) softened
1 cup dark brown sugar
1 cup granulated sugar
3 large eggs, plus one yolk
Heat oven to 375 degrees F. Line the bottoms of two 8-inch cake pans with parchment paper and lightly butter (or spray with baking non-stick spray). Sift the flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together. Stir the buttermilk, pumpkin, and vanilla exract together in a small bowl. Beat the butter and sugars together using an electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs and yolk, one at a time. Reduce mixer speed to low and alternately beat in the flour and buttermilk mixtures in thirds. Pour the batter in to prepared pans. Bake until a tester (toothpick) inserted in center comes out clean - about 35 minutes. Cool before icing.
