What is the best brand of whole wheat pasta out there and why?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

M$That said, I've tried Ronzoni and Barilla and both have been fairly good, but I think you'd have the best results by making your own pasta using whole wheat flour.
An acquaintance of mine ran a business years ago where he would create fresh pasta and sell it to local stores. Of all the pasta I've ever tried that was definitely the best, the only thing that comes close now is the prepackaged pasta now seen in refrigerated sections in the store (that might be an easier option if you don't want to churn out your own).

M$Still, if you can overcome the odd Christmas-y appearance, it tastes just as good as the non-whole-wheat boxed pasta.

M$Other than that, I think Barilla's is good. I'm not sure who makes it for TJ's, but it might be Barilla. They tend to pick whichever the best quality maker of an item is and go with them to produce their private-label things.
