What is the best brand of ink pens?

If I had to choose one brand above the others I would choose Montblanc as the best ink/fountain pens around!
The gold nibs don't scratch the paper and the the weight of the pens are perfect, not too heavy not too light ( sounds like a breakfast cereal hehehe ) but so very true. I did a lot of calligraphy at one stage and loved my Montblanc pen!
They aren't expensive compared to some pens and I think they have a good mix of cost for quality. Sure, some the limited editions are expensive but you don't need to buy them to get good quality. And they have a huge range to choose from. The limited editions DO make great gifts and they are beautiful pieces of workmanship but out of my price range :) maybe not yours!
I've included a few links you might like to look over to give you a better idea of their range and what to look for when buying a fountain pen
