The best and fastest way to learn college alegebra is with all of the above, which are online courses, text books and tutors. Students learn by utilizing different methods; therefore, it would be a good idea to try all of them to see what works best for you. The key to learning fast is to study the information to retain what you have learned. You also want to go over the information as much as you can to reinforce your memory. When I took college math courses, I also had a study partner. This is a great way to learn and have fun at the same time! It never hurts to go over you information with a tutor. They may even be able to offer some insight that you had not considered.

The best way to get through college algebra is practice, practice, practice. The more you go over it, the better you will be with it. You also need to have a good grasp of the mechanics and symmetry of algebra. Pay close attention to the algebraic properties and arithmetic rules, such as what happens to a number or variable as it jumps over the equal sign or how to do parentheses problems. Did you learn FOIL? It is an acronym for how to merge parenthetic expressions into each other: (ax+b)(cx+d) It stands for First Outer Inner Last. This helps you keep in mind the order of multiplication.

You also need to try to like math. If you have a positive attitude about algebra, it will make it easier for you to learn it. Also, if you can find a good teacher or tutor that will really spend time with you that can help immensely. Good luck!
