What is the best alternative to Paypal available in Canada?

Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I will try something nobody has thought of yet. ask for more information... What do you want to do with the account? Is it for selling items online on a website, or just paying people. If it is high volume some of these solutions will not work.

TD Canada does it with fees, they resell Beansteam.

There is also Skipjack.com. ( I work for them ) , they do have fees, but low transaction fees.

Revolution MoneyExchange works for bank accounts, not credit cards.

Credit cards aside, they do not charge fees!

Hi, I like MoneyBookers.com. I haven't tried it for long but it's great if you're outside the US and is good for all the same things PayPal is good for.

I have to suggest using the paypal canadian version. Paypal is top notch so I'm not sure why you wouldn't want to use them.

Well why not use Paypal Canada www.paypal.ca? There really are no other alternatives as google checkout does not yet exist for canadians. The next step is to go with a proper payment processor like psigate or internet secure, or the one through costco (nova).

Google Checkout. It's easy to set up and use, and the Google people are generally very good to work with. Excepting, of course, Google adsense, but that's another story....

TD Canada Trust now allows you to email people money directly. I've been told you can do it without having an account there, but I'm not 100% sure. It's run directly by one of the major banks so it would likely be your best and safest bet!
