Wikipedia defines faith as the confident belief or trust in the truth or trustworthiness of a person, concept or thing. The Bible tells us that there is no fear (Mark 5:36; Luke 8:50) or doubt (Mark 11:23-24) in faith. Faith is based upon strong, clear, logical, true, historical evidence. Faith is not guesswork. Faith is not a blind leap in the dark. Faith is not grounded in subjective feelings. In other words, the God kind of faith looks at the Bible as a book of instructions that show us how to live, overcome and succeed…God’s way.
The Bible tells us without faith we cannot please God and since God is the same yesterday, today and forever, it makes sense to please Him and not depend on pleasing people who continually change.
In our lifetimes, we will put our faith in many people, places and things, but wisdom teaches we need to prioritize our life and put our faith in God and Jesus Christ above all else. Jesus put it simply, "Let not your heart be troubled: believe in God, believe also in me" (John 14:1).
