My family don't like cheese, sour cream, or any other dairy products. So if I make some food with cream or cheese, I must be the one who eat them all.

As a Chinese, I love sea cucumber and chicken feet, which a lot of people might think gross, but they're actually very common in Chinese community. I also like durian and petai. Durian is a strong smelling fruit. Foreigners usually can't stand the fruit, not even Andrew Zimmern, the expert of the weirdest and grossest food on the planet. Petai are smelly beans, which are also quite common where I live, but they're certainly acquired taste for foreigners.

Just the sight of my Braunschweiger Dip makes my husband want to run the other direction:

8 ounces Braunschweiger, smashed with a fork
1 & 1/2 cups sour cream
1 packet of onion soup mix
1/4 teaspoon worcestershire
1/8 teaspoon hot sauce
1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Mix the first 5 ingredients together until smooth, stir in the cheddar, allow it to chill a while in the fridge, and there you have it. Eat it with your favorite crackers.

I also like several other things that most people I know won't even try. This includes cream corn & oyster casserole, Canadian bacon & shrimp pizza, pickled herring in cream sauce, pickled beets, sauerk***t, Bavarian sauerk***t, Braunschweiger sandwiches and k***t burgers.

One of my favorite (kind of unusual) things to eat: Fried Zucchini with Avocado and scrambled eggs. It's such a fabulous concoction! Other members of my family do not view it quite like that. They have gone so far as to request that I do not eat it first thing in the morning at the breakfast table. Soooo, I usually make it for dinner or have breakfast on the patio :)

Try it, you might like it!

One small fresh zucchini, sliced thin
1/2 avocado, diced
3 eggs

Brown zucchini in a little bit of olive oil til it appears wilted. Whip 3 egggs with a fork and add to zucchini. Add avocado, salt and pepper to taste. Continue to cook til fluffy.

It's not gross but people think it's weird when I do it. I cook rice and a beef pot pie and then I pour the pot pie out over the rice. It's really good and not weird at all but I always get comments from my family for it.

I admit that I will sometimes load up ham sandwiches with black olives, green olives, pickles and hot peppers. There's just something about the mix of all of them together that tastes amazing. It's way too strong for most people, but I love it.
