Hi there @tjaldrum!
There are many things to like when it comes to Sony's Playstation 3. Its Sony's first next generation platform, has a whole slew of features such as the Playstation Network and Blu-Ray support, and it has some of the best exclusive games out in this generation. It is also backwards compatible with both the Playstation 1 and 2, though Sony had to drop Playstation 2 support with their slim models to lower overall costs, a move which wasn't exactly seen as a good thing by others. Sony also used to support installing Linux into your Playstation 3 but dropped that as well.
Still, the pros of owning one far outweigh the cons. You can argue whether it’s a better platform or not compared to the Xbox 360, but rest assured its one really good system if you are planning on getting one.
