What websites, forums or blogs discuss Sharia Law? When does Sharia Law become a personal belief instead of a law?

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Sharia is Arabic word which means way or path. But in Islamic perspective sharia means law guided by Islam. Sharia has two main sources of law; one is the Quran and Prophet Muhammad P.B.U.H which include the boundaries which are set in Quran and Hadtihs and Sunnah of Prophet P.B.U.H. This source is called to be the primary source. Second source is quite different from primary source because it mainly consists of consensus of religious scholars.
Mostly muslims have misconceptions that sharia is God’s law but it is totally different they way it has been portray. Different countries have differently interpreted the Sharia. Sharia not only deals with religious topics but it also deals with secular topics like economics, politics, prayer, sexuality etc. Sharia is applied by Islamic judges who are known as Qadis.

The Sharia law is a set of norms or beliefs that guides all aspects of Muslim life including the daily routines while living in society, the family and religious obligations and also the financial dealings. Sharia law does not become a personal belief generally speaking, although exceptional circumstances and peculiar ways to practice Islam could lead to such situations. The law is derived primarily from the Quran, the book which contains the sayings, practice, and teachings of the Prophet Mohammed. In the real world old precedents and analogies are applied by Muslim experts and scholars who use them to address new issues. The practices of the Muslim community also play a role in defining the limits of the application of the Sharia law. There are many controversial websites and forums which discuss this topic, links to a couple of sites that contain a neutral point of view about this matter are included next:
