What is rock history?
I've heard this term a lot, is it referring to actually rocks or rock music?

The idea of rock history in this case applies to rock music and the history of the genre. Traditionally this refers to a few rockers who back in the 1950s connected with the youth's rebellious mood and the cultural changes of that era, with the need of the young people to try and find a soundtrack to go along with their dreams and to inspire them to be different than their parents, the postwar adult generation. The impact of the appearance of the genre was long lasting as is understood today, but the careers of many of these musicians were short lived. Most of them stopped recording after a brief time. Thus rock and roll was promoted not by the pioneers from then on, many of them black performers but by the white followers of their music, for example Elvis Presley. For more click here:
