Directed by NASA's Planetary Division, Headquarters Science Mission Directorate (SMD), the lunar lander capability being developed will pave the way for many exciting robotic scientific missions, from seismology and heat flow to the ground truth of water-ice and other volatiles and through to the return of lunar samples from regions never before explored.
