Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Says Wikipedia:

"Mesothelioma, more precisely malignant mesothelioma, is a rare form of cancer that develops from the protective lining that covers many of the body's internal organs, the mesothelium. It is usually caused by exposure to asbestos."

Treatment, from what I understand, is just like with any other cancer of an internal organwould depend on how far along the progression is--usually chemotherapy. It's not a pretty or quick process, either.

Mesothelioma is a rare form of cancer that attacks the lining on your heart, lungs, or abdomen. You get this from exposure to asbestos. Sadly, many of its sufferers do not show symptoms until 20 to 50 years later, which could be too late. When it comes to this disease, prevention is better than the cure. Visit your doctor regularly and request for a batter of tests such as x-ray and ultrasound so you can detect the disease early on.
