We are all about learning :)
"Mahalo" means "Thank you" in Hawaiian.
Mahalo.com and Mahalo Answers use the Hawaiian word for thanks and praise because the term "Mahalo" reflects the positive, friendly, and helpful attitude of we the users and of the Mahalo web community overall. Initially the motto here was "We're here to help" and the word "Mahalo" fits just so nicely in with that mantra.
We now use the motto "Learn Anything" to reflect our desire to share knowledge and learn from each other in this free exchange of knowledge. Contained within the pages of Mahalo and Mahalo Answers are a lot of really helpful people and I feel the term "Mahalo" still quite nicely represents us as a helpful, positive, friendly, and "Learn anything" web community.
Good luck, have fun, and welcome to Mahalo :)
