What is it that you like about twitter?

I have never used the site, looked at it once, but have noticed that many people like the site so i thought i would see what it is that people like about it.

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I'm curious how twitter works so I got into it! It's about sharing and learning lots of information...you are interested in to. A great communication and brilliant tool for everyone whether it's for personal or business thing. You can retweet (RT) information that you think it's helpful to your twitter friends or followers!

One interesting part is, Twitter would know the very latest world news before it's on the newspapers or TV just by browsing on the search!

I like that I can easily connect with many friends across the country and keep track of what's going on in their lives, 140 characters at a time. It takes less time than facebook, and far less time than keeping track of them over the phone.

I also like hearing from leaders in various industries that I'm interested in, to hear what's going on in that industry. For example, in the telecom industry, I can hear from people at AT&T, Apple, Cisco, and any number of other companies to get news that's relevant to my interests and that I wouldn't get other places.

I mostly use Twitter to follow interesting people (because I live in Sweden, were Twitter isn't really that popular, tweeting isn't that much fun). So the power to be able to choose my news sources and have them directly in my phone is extremely helpfull to me.

I like Twitter because i can shoot all my friends a message at the same time. It saves so much time. Pretty cool getting people to follow you and it is really cool to see what other people are doing all over the world.

The "community" it has created. I am now friends with people whom I would likely never had the chance to meet, had it not been for Twitter.

I think the best thing is that you can interact with "big names" on a personal level (or somewhat personal). Boundaries do not exist.

I like being able to tell people about important but obscure news stories and tell them about my day. Similarly, I like to see what's on other people's minds.

I use twitterfox to pop up people's updates as I am browsing the internet. It's the perfect way.
