Hyperthyroidism or as it’s more commonly known Overactive Thyroid, is a condition in which the Thyroid creates too much hormone. Some symptoms of Hyperthyroidism are fatigue, increased appetite, nervousness and restlessness.
One of the most common treatments for Hyperthyroidism is taking Anti-Thyroid medications. In some cases if the condition is severe and not being controlled by the medication removal of the Thyroid maybe necessary.
There is no real cure for Hyperthyroidism; even removal of the Thyroid isn’t a cure. Once the Thyroid is removed a person must take a thyroid hormone replacement medication everyday for the rest of their lives.
